    Maple Lake Elementary has the following Instructional Assistant vacancies for 2021-22:

    Assistant Boys Basketball Coach

    Maple Lake High School is accepting applications for an Assistant Boys Basketball coach for the 2021-2022 School Year.  Responsibilities will be to work collaboratively with the head coach, have excellent communication skills, be a self-starter and excellent motivator. This position is a non-tenure position that is renewable on a year-to-year basis.  The Activities Director and Head Coach will supervise this person. 

    Start date will be November 22nd, 2021with a potential end date of March 26, 2022.

    Buildings and Grounds Night Manager

    230 work days plus 9 holidays.  This position would oversee the night custodians during the school year from 3 pm -11 pm and perform ground maintenance in the summer from 7 am-3 pm.  This position qualifies for the PERA pension plan.

    The Manager shall lead and supervise the team of night custodians. The Manager will assist the District Custodian in overall maintenance of the building and grounds.  The Manager will coordinate evening custodial staff in consultation with building administrators and the District Custodian.  The Manager will direct evening custodial work during the school year and support the evaluation of custodial work performance.  The Manager will perform grounds keeping duties during the summer months.

    Qualifications:

    High School diploma

    Boilers License-Chiefs preferred or working towards

    Training or experience in building HVAC

    Supervisory experience

    Knowledge of building automation systems

    Knowledge of building maintenance and custodial services

    Mechanical abilities

    Skilled labor preferred

    Work conditions:  The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, reach for objects, stand, walk, push, pull, lift and use hands to grasp and feel.  Must be able to frequently life and/or move 50 pounds or more.  Abilities require close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

    Salary:  Starting salary $49, 000, based on experience and qualifications.

    Position title: Math Tutor – Minnesota Math Corps

                                           or

                          Reading Tutor – Minnesota Reading Corps

    Join us as we head back to school! Maple Lake Elementary is looking for caring adults to serve with Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps. You can help kids become successful in reading or math! You’ll work directly with students every school day, during school hours, August- June.

    Tutors come from many backgrounds and include recent high school and college grads, career changers, stay- at- home parents and retirees. With training, support from onsite coaches and evidence- based strategies, Reading Corps and Math Corps tutors are well- equipped to change lives. No previous teaching experience necessary!
